Senior Procurement Partner – Care Fertility
Reports to: Director of Procurement
Contract Type: This role is offered on a 12-month fixed-term contract. Subject to business needs, funding, and individual performance, there may be an opportunity for the position to become permanent at the end of the contract.
Location: Hybrid – remote working with travel to Care Fertility sites as required
Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum, depending on experience
Start Date: Immediate or as soon as possible
Role Purpose
As part of Care Fertility’s ongoing procurement transformation, the Senior Procurement Partner will play a pivotal role in delivering sustainable cost savings, strengthening supplier performance, and embedding best-in-class procurement capability across the Care Fertility Group.
Reporting to the Director of Procurement, this role holds increased accountability for owning category strategies, leading complex sourcing initiatives, and acting as a trusted commercial advisor to senior stakeholders. The Senior Procurement Partner will help translate Group procurement strategy into tangible outcomes, ensuring strong governance, risk management, and alignment with Care Fertility’s sustainability and growth objectives.
What you’ll do
Lead strategic sourcing and tendering activities across key spend categories, including Pharmaceuticals, Medical Services, Facilities Management, IT, and Indirects
Develop and deliver category strategies aligned with the Group Procurement Plan
Drive cost savings and value creation through supplier consolidation, contract renegotiation, and commercial optimisation
Act as a strategic procurement business partner to operational and functional stakeholders, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and value for money
Manage end-to-end sourcing exercises (RFPs, RFQs, e-tendering), from strategy through to award and implementation
Own supplier relationship management activities, including performance reviews, KPIs, risk management, and continuous improvement
Proactively identify and mitigate commercial, contractual, and supply chain risks
Provide accurate procurement reporting, maintain governance standards, and ensure compliance with Group policies and approval frameworks
What we’re looking for
Significant experience in strategic sourcing, category management, and procurement operations
Experience working in healthcare, life sciences, or a regulated multi-site environment is desirable
Strong commercial acumen with proven negotiation and stakeholder-influencing skills
Hands-on experience with RFPs/RFQs, e-sourcing tools, and contract management systems
Highly organised, proactive, and comfortable working in a transformation environment
Confident communicator with the credibility to operate as a trusted advisor
CIPS qualification (or working towards) desirable
