At Care Fertility, it’s our people that have made us the fertility group we are today. We are one of the largest independent providers of fertility treatments in the world and draw on the knowledge and expertise of our specialists. Our dedicated doctors, embryologists, nurses and support teams all work together to ensure our patient receive the very best fertility treatment. You’ll soon feel like part of the Care Fertility family.
Our Nursing and Clinical Professionals team include Nurses, Midwives, Operating Department Practitioners (ODP’s), Health Care Assistants, Assistant Practitioners, Paramedics and Sonofraphers who work in collaboration with our medical, scientific and administration teams to ensure patients receive the best possible chance of success. The nursing and clinical professionals undertake a vast proportion of the patient pathway, from undertaking pre- treatment assessments, planning appointments, venepuncture, ultrasound assessments, sedation, egg retrieval procedures, and embryo transfers.
Patient experience is of great importance, and we use quality improvement methodology to constantly inform and update our practice from patient feedback. Our modernising career framework promotes education of our nurses and clinical professionals to become specialist and advanced practitioners, through academic qualifications, in collaboration with academic partners such as Birmingham City University where we have developed our global ultrasound for assisted reproduction MSc module. We support the training and education of the future nursing and midwifery workforce by hosting student midwives on the MSc degree at the University of Leicester, which our supports our commitment to ensure best practice across our clinics, and to participate in research nationally.
Our scientists have been at the forefront of IVF science and development; our founder Professor Simon Fishel, was part of the team involved in the birth of the world’s first IVF baby, Louise Brown, in 1978.
We aim to be the greatest employer of embryologists in the country, so you’ll have unrivaled opportunities to develop your skills and abilities. We have a range of bespoke tools such as Care Maps, genetic testing cycles, a vast array of high-tech embryology procedures and many developmental projects you can contribute to.
IVF laboratories are where all the magic happens, so it’s important that they're the very best they can be.
Our state-of-the-art labs have been built to provide a comfortable and safe environment for our patients, as well as provide our scientists with the perfect environment to create and care for embryos.
We’re the only fertility clinic in the UK to have invested in dedicated training facilities, which means our embryologists are able to step out of the clinical lab and into a space that’s been purpose-designed for the training and development of our teams. Our training suite is a state-of-the-art facility for training and educating in IVF technologies. It has a large laboratory area, for technical and hands-on training as well as a zone for lectures and focus groups with audio-visual equipment, including a live link up to our on-site clinical laboratory.
