As a Specialist Fertility Nurse/Midwife (or Specialist Fertility Practitioner as we’ll call you), you’ll provide information and advice on our treatments to patients, as well as any emotional support. You’ll co-ordinate treatment cycle plans, coach our patients to self-administer fertility drugs, and care for our patients pre and post theatre as well as in the clinic.
The role is varied and will include:
• Performing venepuncture, interpreting and giving blood results when necessary (training will be provided for venepuncture and cannulation if required).
• Perform basic patient assessments, venepuncture and undertake pre-treatment consultations
• Assist in theatre procedures, including egg collections, embryo transfers, IUI’s and Hy Co Sy
We are very committed to our nursing/midwifery teams and share best practice across the Care group. We have monthly nurses journal clubs and support training and conferences. Many of our nurses have extended their roles and are working as Advanced Nurse Practitioners.

You’ll need the following skills/experience:
• Essential to be registered with the NMC as a nurse or midwife, with post registration experience working within an acute hospital setting.
• Essential to have experience of fertility/IVF
• Essential to have Level 7 Masters in medical imaging or equivalent ultrasound qualification
• Desirable to either perform sedation, perform embryo transfers or prescribe.

This is a full-time role working from 8-4, Mon-Fri, based at Amberley House, 9 Queen's Rd, Tunbridge Wells TN4 9LL.
